YEIDA Announces a New Heritage City Project along Yamuna Expressway
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is creating a new project to boost the economic and cultural value of Uttar Pradesh. The planned Heritage City project will be developed in the coming years along Yamuna Expressway near its 101 km milestone. The detailed project report (DPR) is sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for final approval before construction starts. The project will have modern amenities, cultural centres, and recreational areas for visitors. In this article, we give insights into the project budget, opening date, and the latest updates related to its development. YEIDA has given the green light on the revised DPR. This report has been sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for final approval. After approval, the committee will determine the development approach for the Heritage City project. The consultant company has proposed two options to the Authority. Under the first option, the entire 750-acre land will be allocated to a single developer. This developer would then build the project in phases according to the approved plan. Alternatively, option two involves dividing the land among multiple companies. Each company would be responsible for developing specific project components such as hospitality, public facilities, healthcare, and recreational areas. To conclude, YEIDA has finalised the detailed project report for the Heritage City development. This ambitious project aims to transform the landscape along the Yamuna Expressway. The city will have recreational amenities and cultural hubs to attract visitors and boost the local economy. Its first phase will take centre stage by 2027 to bring a new era of infrastructural development along highways and expressways in India.
